Classes to help residential building contractors meet their annual continuing education requirements. Open to individuals of all professional backgrounds to enhance member knowledge and skills. Professional development topics may include industry updates, economic forecasts, business management, safety practices, member benefits, and more!
Residential Building Contractors must fulfill annual continuing education requirements. A residential building contractor is required to complete a minimum of six (6) hours of continuing education annually by a board-approved provider. If the residential building contractor also holds a valid, current commercial license in one or more of the major classifications of 1) Building Construction; 2) Highway, Street and Bridge Construction; 3) Heavy Construction; 4) or Municipal and Public Works Construction, the six-hour requirement is considered to have been met.
The residential building contractor shall maintain a copy of a certificate of completion for five years and make available to the board upon request.
There are no continuing education requirements for commercial, mold, or home improvement contractors/registrants.
