Reel in the fun at the NHBA Fishing Tournament on October 3, 2025, held at the Rigolets Marina. Timed perfectly with Fair Day, this event allows local youth to hook a fish without playing hooky!  Anglers of all ages will enjoy a day of fishing, prizes, and awards, along with exciting raffles, delicious food, and music. It’s a fantastic way to celebrate the fall season while supporting our industry!

2025 NHBA Fishing Tournament – Terms & Conditions

Event Date: Friday, October 3, 2025
Final Weigh-In Location: Rigolets Marina Dock * Weigh-In Time: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

GENERAL

  • Start Time: Sunrise on October 3, 2025.
  • Registration: Must be completed by 11:59 p.m., Tuesday, September 30, 2025 online or by calling NHBA at (985) 882-5002.
  • Early Registration Bonus: Register and pay by September 15, 2025 to receive a complimentary fishing shirt.
  • Charter Captains: Only eligible for the Charter Captain’s Cup. NHBA can provide a list of eligible charters.
  • Fishing Area: Any navigable Louisiana waterways; shore fishing permitted.
  • Catch Rules: Hook and line only; no frozen, spoiled, altered, or gutted fish accepted.
  • Regulations: All local, state, federal, Coast Guard, and LDWF laws apply. LDWF Rules: https://online.fliphtml5.com/obxht/nxrb/#p=1

WEIGH-IN RULES

  • Check-In: Required before weigh-in. Line closes at 3:00 p.m. sharp.
  • Eligibility: Anyone in line by 3:00 p.m. and confirmed with Weigh Master may weigh in.
  • Weight Recording: Measured to the nearest tenth of an ounce. Tie-breaker: first fish weighed wins.
  • Category: Each fish can only be entered in one category; decision made at weigh-in is final.
  • Redfish: Must be ≤ 27” in length per LDWF.
  • Most Spots (Redfish): Legal-size Redfish with most non-touching spots on both sides.
  • Final Decisions: Made by NHBA Chairman and/or Weigh Master.

PRIZES

  • Announcements: 10/3/25 at 3:30 p.m.  Winners must provide accurate contact information and sign W9 form.
  • Cash Prizes are as follows: 1st Place Redfish or Trout: $1,000 (Adult); $600 (Teen); $300 (Child); 2nd Place Redfish or Trout: $500 (Adult); $300 (Teen); $150 (Child); Redfish with Most Spots: $300.
  • Other raffle prizes and giveaways are based on sponsor participation.

PAYMENT POLICY

  • Deadline: Fees due by September 30, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
  • Non-Payment: Results in disqualification.
  • Refund Policy:  No refunds after September 15, 2025.  Cancellations on/before this date may receive a partial refund (less processing fees).

EVENT CANCELLATION

  • In the event of weather, disaster, or other uncontrollable issues, refunds or postponement decisions are at NHBA’s sole discretion.

LIABILITY

  • All participants enter at their own risk. NHBA, sponsors, and affiliates are not liable for injuries, damages, or losses.

Registration and payment signify full agreement to these terms and conditions
