The Northshore HBA Annual Fishing Tournament 

Join us on Friday, October 18th for a day of fishing and a chance to win cash and prizes. 

CAPTAINS DINNER - Wednesday, October 16th, from 6pm-9pm

CASH PRIZES • Redfish - $1000 • Speckled Trout - $1000 

ADDITIONAL PRIZE CATEGORIES - Nothing over 27 inches • Black Drum • Flounder • Sheepshead • Junior • Ladies Division • Redfish with Most Spots 

PRE- REGISTRATION REQUIRED Open to Members and Non-Members *All anglers must be registered and paid for by 9pm, Wednesday, October 16th.

Rules & Regulations

  1. The tournament starts at sunrise on Friday, October 18, 2024. Participants must be registered, and their entry fees paid prior to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. NO registrations will be allowed after 10/16/24. Participants may launch wherever they choose but must fish in navigable Louisiana waterways.
  2. The Final Weigh-in will be open at the Rigolets Marina dock, 1:00pm to 3:00pm (NO EXCEPTIONS). Participants must check in with registration before weigh-in. In case of a waiting line for final weigh-in, any participant in line and having notified the Weigh Master prior to 3:00pm will be eligible.
  3. All decisions by the Tournament Chairman and/or Weigh Master will be final.
  4. All local, state, federal, Coast Guard and Louisiana Wildlife & Fisheries (LDWF) regulations and laws shall apply at all times during the tournament. Violation of any of these regulations and laws shall be grounds for disqualification. Any fish not in compliance with these laws is ineligible.
  5. Participants enter at their own risk. Neither the Northshore Home Builders Association nor any person connected, shall be liable for loss, damage, negligence, harm, or injury to anyone for any reason.
  6. All fish must be caught by hook and line within the tournament times. No frozen, spoiled, gutted, altered, or mutilated fish will be eligible for entry.
  7. All fish will be weighed to the nearest tenth of an ounce. In case of two or more entries weighing the same weight, the first fish weighed will be 1st place, second fish weighed will be 2nd place, etc.
  8. Fish submitted for a category cannot be included in any other category. (e.g., Redfish can be for Junior or Ladies’ category or Redfish category, but not both. Category decision must be made at weigh-in and cannot be altered.)
  9. Redfish and Drum Slot only will be any Redfish equal to or less than 27” in length as per LDWF rules.
  10. Winner for Redfish with the most Spots category will be any Redfish of legal size with the most spots on its tail or body on both sides of the fish. Spots cannot be touching. Touching spots count as one spot.
  11. Ladies’ or Junior Division (15 years of age and under) largest fish category is for the largest speckled trout, redfish slot size, black drum slot size, flounder, or sheepshead (by weight) legally taken by LDWF rules. Fish can be eligible for only one category. (e.g. Redfish can be for Ladies category or Redfish category, but not both. Category decision must be made at weigh-in and cannot be altered).
  12. Licensed charter captains are not eligible for entry into the tournament.

In consideration of acceptance for the right to participate in this event, you agree to abide by the above rules and regulations, in addition to holding Northshore Home Builders Association, Sponsors, and all those acting in a representative capacity harmless of known and unknown damages, injuries, judgements, or other such claims. You thereby discharge event officials of any liability and assume sole responsibility of risks for all person(s), including dependents, in addition to his or her property.
